Good luck on your first day!!!

2018 Atlanta Bar Summer Law Interns: (please read all)

Good luck on your first day!!!

Lay your clothes out , go to bed early Sunday, have 2 alarms set and a back up plan, pack a light lunch and some snacks,   leave early and be early for your internship,  turn off your phone, be enthusiastic,  be inquisitive (but not annoyingly so)  and  do a great job.  Get your mind right.  You are ready; we believe in you.

Additional requirements for the Thursday, June 14, 2018 All Intern Meeting (AIM) on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Nelson Mullins:

1-This is an excerpt from the Closing Jury Argument of Paul Newman as attorney Frank Galvin in  the movie “The Verdict” (1982) .  Memorize it and be ready to present it to your Fellow Interns:

“Today, you are the law.  You are the law.  Not some book.  Not the lawyers.  Not the marble statues or the trappings of the Court.  Those are just some symbols of our desire to be just.”

2-Write a letter of thanks to a family member that has helped you get where you are.  Please tell them about your internship and why you are thankful for their role in your life.  It can be to whatever family member you want—parent, grandparent, sibling, cousin, etc.  With Father’s Day approaching  June 17, perhaps your Dad or Grandfather or an Uncle.

3-Read this article and be prepared to discuss it.
